Today we will be spending the morning in EPCOT. Our day is starting out with breakfast at Akershus which is a princess character meal. As you enter you get a photo with Belle. As you dine, which is a combination buffet & served hot plate, you get visited by Aurora, Snow White, Cinderella and Ariel. Since it is my birthday weekend, I got a cupcake with a candle along with a birthday card signed by the princesses!

Finishing the Day
After having pictures with Cinderella & Rapunzel, I had my picture taken in front of the castle as I had some time to burn before the parade.
We had Fastpass for the Festival of Fantasy parade and I loved the view. I got great pictures and since I was right at the rope multiple cast members in the parade stopped and posed for me. One if the female dancers even batted her eyelashes at me lol.
I then played a bit of the Sorcerer of the Magic Kingdom game. It was all in Fantasyland for me this time and I ended up getting the crystal and making it past the first level.
After taking some pictures of the Halloween decorations around Magic Kingdom I decided to head back to the hotel as I hadn’t actually been to my room yet. On the way out of Magic Kingdom I saw a poster for Star Wars: Rebels so I had to snap a pic.
Our room is very nice and pretty close to the elevator. We freshened up and headed to dinner. We had 6:40 reservations for 1900 Park Faire. To get there we took the bus from Animal Kingdom Lodge to Magic Kingdom. Unfortunately it was raining and so we got pretty wet going from the MK bus stop to the Monorail.
Dinner at 1900 Park Faire was awesome. The cast member that checked me in gave me a birthday button with the O in my name being Mickey ears. She said she was shocked I didn’t have one on. We sat on the side of the restaurant closest to the door, an area we had never been at. Almost as soon as we sat down we saw Cinderella and a few minutes later Prince Charming came by. We got a plate of food and shortly after we saw Lady Tremaine and then the two step sisters. It went so fast! Usually we have to wait but not tonight.
We had planned to see the Frozen fireworks at Hollywood Studios but it was raining pretty hard so we headed to Downtown Disney to get a bus back to Animal Kingdom Lodge. I decided to find the DTech customizable shop. So through the rain I went and when I got there I was annoyed they don’t have a Peter Pan template to make a phone case. So I ended up going to the Pin shop where I found some Star Wars and a Peter Pan & Wendy pin I don’t have.
Now I’m heading back to the hotel to call it a night. It was a productive first day and I was very active. According to my Fitbit I walked 8.26 miles!
More Magic Kingdom
After Pirates of the Caribbean we used out Fastpass plus for Peter Pan’s Flight. This is a must rise for me and I typically go on it a few times per trip. Unfortunately I couldn’t get any of my pictures to turn out on the ride. We then went to Mickey’s Philharmagic. While this is a cute show it annoys me. People are always so ride at this attraction by not going all the way down in seats and taking up too much space.
We then went window shopping at Sir Mickey’s which almost all Frozen merchandise. I was very tempted to buy the stuffed Olaf lol. We the. Walked by the Princess Fairytale Hall. The line for Anna and Elsa was huge with 45 minute wait while Cinderella and Rapunzel was only 20 mins. Since we had time before the parade we went in this line.
Magic Kingdom So Far
As soon as we got to the Magic Kingdom we went directly to the Emporium gift shop. I read online that Disney began selling the Halloween merchandise. If you wait until October they will be sold out. Every year I like to get the holiday themes t-shirts. And, indeed, they are out and the quantities were somewhat limited although I did find my size in the 2 adult 2014 shirts. I also bought the watch that they just put out. From there we went to the Adventureland Veranda which is where Peter Pan is having his meet and greets now. We were first in line and it was out favorite Peter Pan who was out. I told him Sunday was my birthday and he wished me a happy birthday Sunday and asked what I was going to do. I said I would come back to see him but that I was having dinner at Beast’s castle. He said he hopes he doesn’t get fur in my food lol.
We then had Fastpass plus for Haunted Mansion which is always a must do for us. Pirates of the Caribbean had a short wait so we headed there next.
Checked In
We got to Animal Kingdom Lodge: Jambo House and checked in. Room isn’t ready so I checked my bag and am headed to Magic Kingdom
Landed safely
We have landed safely in Orlando. We are in line at airport to take Magical Express to Animal Kingdom Lodge. This time we are staying at Jambo House. It’s not too crowded at the airport.
At the airport
Our flight to Orlando is at 7 AM with a 6:30 boarding time. We got here early as we always do, just to be safe. Made it through security quickly and now just the waiting game. Can’t wait to get to Disney!
Vacation Has Begun
I am staying at the Embassy Suites in Philadelphia tonight as I am flying out tomorrow morning for Disney. I love this hotel. It is very nice and comfortable to stay in with nice staff. It is also convenient as they will take you to the airport. Taking a break from clean dieting as this is vacation and my birthday weekend! Having cheese pizza tonight.
Celebrating Birthday in Walt Disney World
